Fredericton, NB — United Way of Central New Brunswick is excited to announce their 2018 Campaign Co- Chairs. Owners of The Ginger Agency in downtown Fredericton, Kerry Wells and Andrew Bedford have enthusiastically come on board to encourage other local businesses and community members support United Way and its partner charities.
The Ginger Agency has played an integral role in helping United Way develop its communications strategies and are a proud member of the payroll deduction program that United Way offers. Kerry has been involved as the Communications Chair and a member of the Board at United Way for 4 years.
“We’ve had great success in building Ginger with purpose, community spirit and commitment to giving. While our instincts push us towards being humble about our generosity, we think it’s important that we celebrate the impact of giving,” says Andrew, CEO and Founder of The Ginger Agency. “We want to speak out as leaders and try to inspire others to do the same. The health of your community and economy are forever linked: what’s good for our community is always good for our businesses and our teams.”
Kerry and Andrew want to extend their passion for community with other businesses and community members. “While every dollar really does count, the real value in giving goes beyond just writing a cheque,” says Kerry, President at The Ginger Agency. “It’s about getting involved in the community, understanding your purpose and engraining giving into the very fabric of your business. A culture of giving really helps build stronger businesses, stronger teams and stronger communities.”
Jeff Richardson, Executive Director at United Way of Central New Brunswick said that during the search for this year’s Campaign Chairs United Way focused on recruiting local influencers. “As an organization rooted in Local Love, we search for Campaign Chairs who are as passionate about community as we are,” said Richardson. “Kerry and Andrew are uniquely placed to help us grow and connect with local business in a way we never have before. We are so excited about their enthusiasm, passion and commitment to helping change lives.”
Andrew and Kerry will help lead the campaign by meeting with new businesses, speaking publicly about the impact of United Way and sharing their Local Love. They will launch their roles as Campaign Chairs at the United Way Central Campaign Kickoff presented by UNB at the Currie Centre at noon on September 20th, 2018.
