VON (Victoria Order of Nurses) - Adult Day Center
 

What a wonderful program! The seniors of our community, many of which are veterans of the WWII and the Korean war, with many a tale to tell; have the opportunity to attend these all day outings. They begin the day with fine fellowship, coffee and current affairs. Next could be an outing or crafts, then a hot meal at noon and finishing off the afternoon most often with music, compliments of our talented community.

This group provides fellowship, socialization and respite, meeting specific needs for each individual. We once had two veterans attend the center at the same time who were waiting for long term care placement. Because of the program, they were able to stay in their own home for another couple of years.
